How to Get to the Venue from Leipzig Hauptbahnhof (Main Station)

From Leipzig main station, visitors can take both city trains towards Bayerischer Bahnhof or tram line 16 (towards "Lößnig"). With city trains, visitors go until Bayerischer Bahnhof and from there take trams 2 ("Naunhofer Straße" or "Meusdorf"), 16 ("Lößnig") or bus line 60 ("Lipsiusstraße") until "Johannisallee". This bus/tram stop is directly in front of the main building of the Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy.

How to Get to Leipzig from Popular Airports

If your arrive at Leipzig Airport...
...then please take a city train S5 or S5X towards Leipzig. If you travel within the range of the conference ticket validity, this will be free of charge, since those trains are regional trains. Please note that far distance trains (IC/EC/ICE) might also stop at Leipzig/Halle Flughafen train station. Travelling with those trains is not covered by the public transport ticket!

If you arrive at Frankfurt Airport...
...then please take an ICE towards Leipzig, which will take about 4 hours.

If you arrive at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport...
...then please take a local train towards Berlin-Südkreuz and from there please take an ICE towards Leipzig. This will take about 2 hours.

Arrival by Car

Arriving both from north and south, visitors will most likely be on either A9 (Berlin-Munich), A14 (Magdeburg-Dresden) or A38 (Göttingen-Leipzig).

From north, visitors from A9 join A14 towards Dresden at Schkeuditzer Kreuz. At Exit 23 (Leipzig-Mitte), B2 towards Wittenberg/Bad Düben/Delitzsch has to be followed for about 9 km. At Ostplatz, turn right towards Johannisallee.

From south, visitors from A9 join A38 at Kreuz Rippachtal towards Leipzig-Süd. Exit the autobahn at exit 32 (Leipzig-Südost) towards S242 towards Leipzig and follow for 5 km. After the "Double-M" of the Old Exhibition center, turn left to enter Philipp-Rosenthal-Strasse in order to get to the venue.
